    It is possible for the trekkers to have altitude sickness since the highest elevation is more than 3000 meters above sea level. Altitude sickness occurs due to the increase in elevation and as a result, causes and shows the symptom of this condition.

Acetazolamide and Dexamethasone are the medicine that is used in case of the experience altitude sickness. If the conditions of the altitude sickness persist more, then it can result in HAPE and HACE which are extreme levels of altitude sickness and can also lead to the death of the person.

    The full form of HAPE is High Altitude Pulmonary Edema. It is the situation in which there is an excess accumulation of fluid in the lungs.

    The full form of HACE is High Altitude Cerebral Edema. It is the condition in which there is an excess accumulation of fluid in the brain. Hence, in order to prevent these fatal conditions, proper measures should be taken.

    Machhapuchhre Model trek is a camping trek as there are no such provisions in many teahouses and lodges in the region. Despite the first day, all the days in this trek are the camping trek. In this trek, those who expect high luxury and accommodation such as guest houses and lodges will have difficulty accommodating in the tents. Since it is a camping trek, all the facilities will be available in tents but it is obvious that most will find it difficult to accommodate in the camps. Hence, it is also one of the difficulties that might occur in the Macchapucchre Model Trek.

    The detailed itinerary of the Machhapucchre Model Trek is as follows:

    Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

    Your Arrival Time (?) Our office representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

    At. 06:00 PM: In the evening, our office representative will meet you for a coffee talk and will brief you on the details of your trekking program.

    Day  02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

    At. 08:30 AM: Have your morning meal and get ready for your cultural tour, you will devote your full day to cultural sightseeing inside Kathmandu valley. 

    Explore the Pashupatinath Temple devoted to Lord Shiva which is famous for its awe-spiring and astounding pagoda architecture. Visit Boudhanath stupa, where you will be welcomed by the divine smell of incense and the cooing and grunting of pigeons. After arriving at the Boudhanath stupa the divine aura will declare peace among people's souls. You can also enjoy the rooftop view of the entire place while sipping aromatic coffee and yummy food. A few mins from Boudhanath Stupa there is another important Buddhist pilgrimage Kopan Monastery. This tranquil place is perfect for refreshing activities such as meditation. 

    Pay a visit to the ancient Buddhist complex Swayambhunath stupa also known as the Monkey temple. These are the three prominent Buddhist sites that have immense importance in Buddhist culture. At last, Once sightseeing completes, you will be dropped back at your hotel. Besides sightseeing, you can do the required shopping for your trek if needed.

    Day 03: Fly to Pokhara and Sightseeing around Pokhara

    At  08:30 AM: You will meet one of the official representatives at Kathmandu who will drop you at the airport for your flight towards Pokhara. (Flight duration 25mins approximately)

    After you reach Pokhara, check-in at your hotel and take advantage of the great service provided by the hotel with a great view. In the evening, you will go for Pokhara sightseeing starting with Devi’s fall which is the natural attraction in this great city. After you finish your visit to the magnificent waterfall, you will head out to a stunning Gupteshwor cave just a few mins away from Devi’s fall. Then after peace pagoda where get a panoramic view of the entire city along with the peaceful lake and the lush green valley.  Spend some quality time and have some snaps with the photogenic background. 

    After enjoying the view you will hike down towards Phewa lake which will take around 30 mins. You will go through a calm forest path where you will see the colorful lights on the way. You will cross the lake on a boat or you can even try canoe by yourself. Spend some time on a boat enjoying the view and chit-chat with the sailor.

    Day 04: Pokhara to Kaltha

    At 08:00 AM:  This morning, the journey towards the Machhapucchre Model Trek commences. You will reach Kaltha by jeep which will be 4-5 hours of drive from Pokhara. It will be the final destination for the day. The path towards Kaltha is average i.e. neither too smooth nor too rough. Overall, it will be a convenient journey for you this starting day. Upon reaching Kaltha, you will be accommodated in a teahouse that will have all the basic facilities to utilize and you will have a nice stay there. You can explore the serene and vibrant atmosphere of Kaltha. Overnight accommodation at a teahouse.

    Day 5: Trek to Meshroom

    At 08:00 AM: The next day, you will move towards Meshroom which will be the next final stop for the day. It approximately takes about 5-6 hours to reach Meshroom from Kaltha. Along the way, you can experience diverse communities and their unique settlements. We can observe different ethnic groups and settlements such as Gurung, Tamang, Brahmins, and Chhetris. One to way to Meshroom, you can spectate the beautiful Naudhoke cave which is at a distance of about 2 hours walk from Kaltha. 

    It is one of the religious caves which consists of 7 entrances and contains a great religious significance. After spending some time at Naudhoke cave, you will move forward to see the next famous waterfall over there which is called as Alamya Jharana. It is one of the beautiful waterfall which will add much refreshment to your trek and journey. There, you will also see coolhill which is a viewpoint before Meshroom.

    After spectating all these wonders on the way, you will move forward to reach to Meshroom and will reach there till evening. Overnight accommodation at tented camps.

    Day 6: Trek to Korchan

    At 08:00 AM: The next day, you will move forward to Korchan which will take about 2-3 hours to reach. The trail consists of steep hill as well as roundabout trails. Previously, there was not so proper provision of the trails, but at the present scenario, the road is accessible. Upon reaching Korchan, you will be able to see the beautiful mountain vistas such as Annapurna South, Machhapucchre, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV an you can overall see the view of about about 16 districts from this point of the MachhapuchhreModel Trek. Korchan is also the paragliding point for the adventure seekers. Overnight accommodation at tented camps.

    Day 7 : Trek to Sirka Daada

    At 08:00 AM: This day, we move forward to Sirka Daada which takes about 3-4 hours to reach from Korchan. Sirka Dada is one of the places from where you can observe the panoramic  views of the beautiful nature and also the hill from where other routes are emerged.  Overnight accommodation at tented camps.

    Day 8: Sirka Daada to Mardi East Base Camp

    At 08:00 AM: This day, we move forward to the next destination which is the Mardi East Base Camp. The duration to the Mardi East Base Camp from Sirka Daada takes approximately 5-6 hours of trek. On the way to the Mardi East Base Camp, you will be amazed by the beauty the nature carries which includes lush landscapes, beautiful forests along the way as well as the serene aspects that the pathway carries. Upon reaching the Mardi East Base Camp , you will get to explore the beautiful natural settings along with the magnificent Mardi Himal. Overnight accommodation at tented camps.

    Day 9: Trek to Machhapucchre Base Camp

    At 08:00 AM: This day, you will be reaching to the Machhapucchre East Base Camp and explore the mesmerizing destination. It will take around 5-6 hours to trek to Machhapuchhre base camp. Machhapuchhrebase camp is one of the most beautiful places from where you can see the majestic fishtail mountain and many other snowcapped mountain ranges. 

    Elevation: 3712 M

    Day 10: MachhapuchhreBase Camp to Meshroom

    At 08:00 AM: After breakfast at Macchapuchre Base Camp, you will trek towards Meshroom village. It takes about 5-6 hours of trek to reach Meshroom village. While trekking you can explore small villages, lush greenery and some incredible himalayas on sight.

    Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

    Day 11: Meshroom to Korchon (3690m) and back to Pokhara

    The following morning, get up early in the morning and drive to Korchon, which is 3600 meters above sea level. The Pokhara valley and the entire Himalayan range are seen from here. The Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre Range, Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri Himal, Nilgiri Himal, and Gangapurna Himal are spectacular from Korchon. It is a wonderful place for sunrise views. Then,drive back to Sainti Ghatta and take a jeep to return to Pokhara.

    Day 12: Fly to Kathmandu

    At. 09:00 AM: Have your breakfast and pack your bags for your flight back to Kathmandu. (flight duration is 25 mins) After baggage collection, your transportation will be waiting outside the airport. After check-in at your hotel, you can explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. You can visit Thamel and spend some time at cozy cafes and restaurants

    You can also collect souvenirs like handmade jewelry, clothing items, and many more eye-catching things. (If you feel the need for a guide you will be allowed) Lastly, we will meet for a cultural (traditional local dance live performance in folk songs) Nepali dinner in Kathmandu on your farewell.
