‘Altitude Himalaya’ is named after the high-altitude mountains of Nepal. Our story dates back to the days when our team was fascinated by the elevations of different places we visited across Nepal. We wanted a name that was short, catchy, and meaningful. And that’s how ‘Altitude Himalaya’ was born. 

Today, we are a team of highly professional travel experts, working hard every single day to serve you only the best travel experiences in Nepal, as well as in Tibet and Bhutan.

Yes, Altitude Himalaya is a government-registered travel company in Nepal. We offer both tour and trekking packages, all operated by government-licensed guides.

We are located opposite the British Embassy in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, Nepal. While we are based in Nepal, our services also extend to Tibet and Bhutan. For our exact location, feel free to check us out on Google Maps.

We cover major destinations within Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet. Every package we offer provides a unique perspective into the diverse regions of the country. 

From trekking in the Himalayas to exploring the streets of the Terai region, from cultural immersion to destinations perfect for leisure, we cover every nook and cranny. 

For all our guests, we include a government-licensed tour or trek guide who is responsible for providing detailed information throughout your trip. 

Moreover, our packages come with accommodations in top-level hotels based on your budget, daily breakfasts (and sometimes additional meals), a local SIM card, and domestic flights or private vehicles (depending on the package). 

Please note that every trip is unique, and we have clearly listed the ‘Services Included’ and ‘Services Excluded’ in each package. Since we stay up to date on every destination, certain services may be adjusted as needed. Any such changes will be communicated in advance.

Here’s a step-by-step process to book with Altitude Himalaya:

• Either contact us directly via WhatsApp or email, or use the ‘Book a Quote’ option available on the travel package you wish to select.

• Based on the details you provide, we’ll send you an initial itinerary, including everything that’s covered in the package.

• Take your time to review it, and feel free to request changes or a full customization. We’re happy to assist in both cases!

• Once we come to an agreement with the final itinerary, you’ll be required to make an advance payment to secure your booking.

We highly prefer direct bank transfers for all types of bookings at Altitude Himalaya. However, direct cash payments are also accepted in both NPR and USD after an official meetup. We assure you that all payments are processed through a secure system.

From providing you with a government-licensed tour or trek guide to arranging all hotel services, we’ll be at your service 24/7. 

There’s a subtle difference between traveling independently and traveling with a tour operator. And through our safety services, you’ll quickly understand why that matters! Our collaboration with the local community and our choice of reputable hotels make us the safest option in the country.

No, we do not include insurance in any of our packages. Many of our guests tend to have this confusion, so we’d like to clarify it here. 

Insurance should be purchased directly from insurance providers, preferably from one’s home country. However, Altitude Himalaya can certainly help you choose the right insurance option that covers everything essential for your trip. 

For example, if you plan to participate in any adventure activities, your insurance should include coverage for high-risk activities such as trekking, mountaineering, and rafting.
 

We have a policy that offers a full cash back if you cancel your trip with us at least 30 days in advance. However, exceptions may occur because we often book your tickets beforehand. In some cases, a 30–50% cancellation fee might apply. 

If you cancel between 7 to 15 days prior to your trip, we regret to inform you that only 50% of the advance payment can be refunded, as most bookings would have already been processed. 

In extreme cases, cancellations made within just seven days before departure, we are sorry to say that no refund will be possible. For full details, please check our cancellation policy here.

We rely on WhatsApp (+977-9823000055) for communication before your visit, during your tour, and even after the trip to gather your feedback. Of course, you can also choose to communicate via email. The choice is entirely up to you!

Yes, group discounts are available on every package, including for our returning guests who choose us again. In fact, we also offer special discounted rates on various occasions, so be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media pages.

Of course, rental options can be arranged. But honestly, we don’t recommend them at all. The reason is simple: you’ll be relying on used products at a relatively higher price than buying your own. And remember, these rentals often aren’t of the best quality. Instead, what we do is recommend the best products available at the relevant destinations themselves.
