What is Yoga?

Both spiritual and physical practice yoga is an old discipline started in India. But as of now, yoga is practiced in almost every nation of the world. It has been scientifically proven that a daily yoga-doing person has a better health condition and is happier than that of his colleagues. It is believed to be discovered in Indus Valley Civilization during 3300 B.C. to 1700 B.C. The main motive of yoga is to exercise the body and relieve it from the pain. A person who has mastered or succeeds in yoga is called a yogi. There are different yoga asanas and one can choose these according to their needs.

Benefits of Yoga During the Trek

One of the most important parts of yoga is it increases stamina and strength. Both of them play a vital role during the trek. Practicing yoga during the trek can help you learn techniques to breathe at high altitudes and avoid High Altitude Sickness. Similarly, yoga can help you solve one of the major problems for the trekkers which are maintaining a balanced metabolism activity throughout the trek.

Practicing yoga during the trek will help your muscles to relax from a whole day walk. With the pre-walk yoga exercise at the beginning of the trek and yoga practice after the trek each day, you will be able to walk better and balance better. Yoga during the trek is the best concept to help you with your breathing as well as providing relief from a day-long walk. During our trek, you will be doing Yoga twice a day one before sunrise and before starting the trek. Another time of Yoga is when you reach your destination after a long walk.
