Best Time for Tsum Valley Trek
Trekking is suitable throughout the year. The months of March, April, and May are considered to be the ideal time for kicking off on the Tsum Valley trek. During these months of the year, one can witness the astonishing blooming of rhododendron flowers in the trekking region. These months are the ideal time for trekking in any region of Nepal.
The weather is warm, and during these months of the year, there is high visibility, resulting in amazing views of the mountains and valleys. Throughout the months of March to May, the weather generally stays clear, with minimal rainfall. This is also the time of year when the trails are adorned with gorgeous blooming flowers.
It is recommended that visitors make their way to this secret valley between the months of September, October, and November. During these times of the year, there is a practically nonexistent possibility that it will rain. In the meanwhile, there is an excellent chance of snowfall during the month of December. The temperature is just right, the sky is blue, and there is a clear view of the snow-capped mountains in the distance.
What is Tsum Valley Trek?

Your trek starts from Kathmandu with guided full-day sightseeing. You will explore the ancient monuments that are included in the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Your trek starts from the village of Arughat, Dhading which is in two parts, on opposite sides of the Budhi Gandaki. Arughat Bazaar is large, clean, and prosperous with hotels and shops selling clothes, food, and hardware. You will drive further to reach Soti Khola and then Macchakhola. Macchakhola (869m) is the starting point of your trek. You will pass through this village to start your Tsum valley trek. Along the route, you will walk past paved stones along with Mani walls and high overlooks over rivers. Then you will reach the appealing village of Jagat which lies on the west side of the Budhi Gandaki river.
The trek throughout is a very pleasant one. You will pass by Ekle Bhatti where the trail separates between Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit Trek. As you trek, you will notice the welcome board and move towards Lokpa. The trek can be good as you can observe the snowy cones of Mt. Ganesh and Mt. Shringi. The route takes you to Gumling where you only capture the serene nature. Shortly, you will cross the Syar Khola again, arriving at the village of Chumling. From Chhokang Paro, the Ganesh Himal range can be seen directly to the south, providing superb views of the Himal Chuli peaks to the southwest.
The Nile is the last village at the top of Tsum valley. On the way, you will go to Piren Phu cave which is additionally one of the holiest caves in the Tsum valley. The cave gives a mind-boggling view of Shiar Khola, Rachen Gumba, and beautiful settlements in the middle of extensive agricultural land. The Mu Gompa lies on the highest and most remote part of the Tsum Valley. At the monastery, you can see monks busy with their daily routine and the breathtaking view of the border of Tibet. You will trek the same route back to Jagat and then to Tatopani from where you will take a drive back to Kathmandu.
