The trek to Pikey Peak starts after sightseeing in Kathmandu. During this day you will be exploring some of the UNESCO World heritage sites inside Kathmandu Valley. About 7 hours of drive will take you to Dhap situated at an elevation of 2,850 meters above sea level.
During the first day of the trek to Jhapre, you will pass through rhododendron forest. You will also get to see the amazing views of the mountain ranges such as Everest and Number. The trail climbs up to a grassy ridge at Bhulbhule. Before reaching the Pikey Base Camp at an elevation of 3,640 meters above sea level you will have amazing views of the beautiful mountain ranges. You will take an early morning walk towards Pikey Peak. Upon reaching the Pikey Peak you will witness some of the amazing views of the mountain ranges.
After exploring the Pikey Base Camp you will hike down to Junbesi for the overnight stay. Junbesi is one of the vintage villages of the Khumbu region of Nepal. During this day you will also explore Thubten Choeling Monastery built in the 19th century. The Monastery offers in-depth insights into the culture and religious heritage of the region. Descending throughout the day you will reach Phaplu for the overnight stay. You will take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the hotel and you will have free time. Meanwhile, in the evening we will have a farewell Nepali dinner together.
