Visiting the well painted Buddhist monasteries and the rhododendron forest is a good combination for Nature and Culture exploration.
Located in the Everest region of Nepal, Pikey Peak is one of the less crowded and one of the least explored trekking trails of the same region. Pikey Peak trek can also be shortened by taking the flight to Phaplu instead of the drive to Dhap. Meanwhile, the trek can also be extended by adding other trekking destinations around the Everest region. Because of such a flexible trek itinerary, it is gaining a lot of popularity in recent years. Insite of its low altitude and fewer numbers of the trekking days, marvelous views of the Mt. Everest can be seen. Pikey Peak is located at an elevation of 4,065 meters above sea level. Some other mountain ranges that can be seen include Number, Chuli, Thamserku, Kangtega, Khatang, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Gaurishankar etc.
Pikey Peak is one of the moderate difficulty levels of the trek in the lower region of Everest. Beginners with a normal fitness level can complete the trek without any difficulty. It is one of the newly discovered trekking trails. Because of that, local tea houses and lodges are very few in number. Meanwhile, few of the trek permits are required before going on a Pikey Peak trek. It is an ideal trek for those trekkers who are willing to view Everest with less effort and time.
