Drive towards the rich cultured village - of Ghandruk which takes an hour or two. Ghandruk is the most commercial and biggest Gurung village in Nepal. On the way, you get to see alluring waterfalls and small streams where you can stop by and have some snaps. Once at Ghandruk view the beauty of the traditional Gurung village and visit the local museum and try on the cultural garment and take some pictures with an exclusive backdrop. From Ghandruk you can see the savage Mt. Annapurna south face, Mt. Fishtail, and Mt. Hiuchuli. After exploring the adorable village, start walking towards Chhomrong, the second biggest village in the Annapurna conservation area. On the way to Chhomrong, you might come across native animals such as langur monkeys and different species of birds. One can see the vibrant nightlight of Ghandruk from Chhomrong.
On the fourth day of your trekking program, you will trek to a place called Himalaya. You will walk through small hamlets such as Sinuwa (2340m), Bamboo (2310m), Dovan (2505m), then finally Himalaya (2920m). Before you reach Himalaya you will witness the majestic waterfall. Take pictures for memories and walk towards your destination. You will walk around 5-6 hours to reach your destination. Rest at the cozy hotel and rest your bags at the hotel. Himalaya is surrounded by hills and small waterfalls here and there that will give you a peaceful environment.
On the fifth day, you will trek to the ultimate destination and the goal Annapurna Base camp (4310m). Have your fresh breakfast and start walking while enjoying the exquisite view. You will walk through two giant valleys where the mountains will tease you with a glimpse of it. Within two hours you will reach Deurali (3200m) and from here it takes 2 hours to reach Machhapuchhre base camp MBC (3700m). As you get closer to MBC you will find yourself surrounded by high mountains with their cold glare at you. Have your lunch with an amazing ambiance, rest for a while and hike up to Annapurna Base camp and appreciate the beauty of the brutal mountains around you. From MBC it takes just 2 hours to arrive at ABC. Once at ABC, rest your bags, change into warm and comfortable clothes, and have a hot cup of tea. Explore the surrounding area and wait for the sunset. In the evening view the splendid sunset along with the mountains. Rest well and have your dinner before you go to bed.
On the sixth day make your way back to Sinuwa. Before walking down, witness the beauty of the mountain one last time. Have pictures and gear up to walk. Return from the same way as before and stay at Sinuwa. The next day, trek down to Jhinu where you will stay overnight. A special thing about Jhinu is that there is a natural hot spring where you can rest and relax. To be at Jhinu one must reach Chhomrong and hike down for an hour to reach Jhinu. Stay there overnight and relax at the comfortable lodge.
On the eighth day, you drive towards Pokhara from Jhinu which will take around 1 and a half hours. After you get to Pokhara check in at the hotel and get refreshed. This day is a leisure day where you can rest or go out to explore the city of adventure. There are lots of things that you can do at Pokhara. You can go shopping, exploring, boating and many more. Enjoy the peaceful environment, and visit restaurants and cafes to spend some quality time. Enjoy the vibrant night and enjoy your time at Pokhara. The next day after your breakfast check out of the hotel and drive to the airport to catch a flight to Kathmandu. Visit the streets of Kathmandu full of light and life. Enjoy your day accordingly and in the evening meet us for a traditional Nepali dinner with live music on folk songs.
On the tenth day, have your breakfast before your checkout and get ready for your departure. You will be escorted on a private basis to the airport drop. Fly to Pokhara
At. 10:00 AM: You will meet one of the official representatives at Kathmandu who will drop you at the airport for your flight towards Pokhara. (Flight duration 25 mins approximately)
After you reach Pokhara check in at your hotel and take advantage of the great service provided by the hotel with a great view. In the evening you can go for Pokhara sightseeing starting with Devi’s fall is the natural attraction in this great city. After you finish your visit to the magnificent waterfall you will head out to a stunning Gupteshwor cave just a few mins away from Devi’s fall. Then after the Peace Pagoda, one can get a panoramic view of the entire city along with the peaceful lake and the lush green valley. Spend some quality time and have some snaps with the photogenic background.
After enjoying the view you will hike down towards Phewa lake which will take around 30 mins. You will go through a calm forest path where you will see the colorful lights on the way. You will cross the lake on a boat or you can even try canoeing by yourself. Spend some time on a boat enjoying the view and chit-chat with the sailor.
Drive to Ghandruk, Trek to Chhomrong
At. 07:00 AM: Your ride towards Ghandruk will pick you up and drive you to Ghandruk village. On the way, you can try Thakali food near the airport which is a popular lunch destination.
Start your journey towards today’s destination Ghandruk. The distance between Pokhara to Ghandruk is 55 Km which will be covered in a 1-hour non-stop drive. On the way, there are many wonderful waterfalls that you can stop by and have some snaps. Check in at the lodge at Ghandruk and explore the surrounding place, get along with the locals and relax.
Walking downhill from Ghandruk, while you walk the lush green forest will please your eyes and refresh your mind. Also, you will meet warm locals who will greet and encourage you for your trek program. As you get close to your destination you can hear the sound of the river. After you reach the river it takes about an hour or 2 to reach your today's destination.
After an hour of walking, you will reach a river and cross bridges. You will have to walk steep uphill until you reach Chhomrong for the overnight stay. Chhomrong is the second biggest village that you will find in the Annapurna base camp trek after Ghanduk village. The night view from Chhomrong is immaculate. You can see Ghandruk village which will blow your mind with its glittering lights from a distance. Have an authentic taste of this charming village. Enjoy your delicious dinner that includes locally grown vegetables prepared according to the regional style. Rest well for the exciting upcoming day of your Annapurna Base camp trek.
Trek to Himalaya
At. 08:00 AM: Wake up early to explore this village and witness the heavenly sunrise along with the lovely mountain view. Munch up your breakfast before you start your walk, you will again walk downhill to reach the Suspension bridge. After that, you will have to walk uphill. After about an hour and a half of walking, you will reach Sinuwa. After about two hours of steep descent from Sinuwa, you will reach yet another small village called Bamboo where you can stop by and have lunch and rest. (After you reach Bamboo village you are prohibited to carry or have meat products other than sheep and selective animals according to the religious rules and values.)
On the way, you will come across a small yet very photogenic river that one must cross through a tiny bridge made out of wood and other natural materials. Your ears will be blessed to listen to the peaceful sound of small rivers followed by the chirping of birds along the way. Walking through the lush forest slowly you will pass Dovan where visitors have lunch and rest. After a few hours from Dovan, you will reach your destination which is Himalaya. There is a good chance to encounter langur monkeys along with other native flora and fauna along with the tranquil sound of rivers and waterfalls.
Rest your bags and get refreshed after you reach Himalaya. This place is very cozy and has an excellent ambience where you can chill with a cup of hot coffee at the lodge. You can find different kinds of sweet treats that you can enjoy in the Himalaya of Nepal. Have a hot dinner and rest well for your upcoming trek to Annapurna base camp.
Trek to MBC
At. 08:00 AM: Today you will slowly walk uphill to reach Deurali. After you finish having your breakfast, you will walk through the jungle which will provide a chance to witness the wildlife of the Annapurna conservation area. Before you reach Deurali you will come across a noticeable attraction which is Hinku cave where most of the travelers rest and soak in the beauty of the place. The landscape will surely fascinate you with its unique structure. Have some snaps of it and move towards your destination.
As you approach Deurali the number of trees decreases as you walk at an altitude of 3200m above sea level. Because of that, the level of oxygen decreases. As you walk the mountains will tease you with a glimpse of it. From Deurali you can see Gangapurna mountain from the middle of two massive hills. This place looks like a scene from a movie. The hills stand tall and intimidating. In the winter season, it is covered in snow, and in other seasons you can witness greenery all over the hill.
About 2 hours of walk from Deurali will take you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp from here you get another point of view of Mt. Fishtail. There are good lodges where you can stop by and have lunch with an appreciable backdrop. Marvelous views of the Machhapuchhre can be seen from the lodges and might also get to see a flock of sheep on the way to the Annapurna base camp. From Machhapuchhre base camp takes just 2 hours to reach the ultimate destination just in time to view the hypnotic sunset. You will reach Annapurna base camp before sunset. Rest your bags and get refreshed, have a flavourful dinner, and rest well for the next day.
Trek to Upper Sinuwa.
At. 05:30 AM: Wake up early to witness the captivating sunrise view over the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Hiuchuli. The view that you get in the morning is sensational and out of the world. Appreciate the view and live in the moment. Take some pictures as evidence of your bravery and inspiration for other upcoming stunning treks in Nepal. You will get 360 views and find yourself surrounded by mountains above 8000 meters.
After breakfast with a breathtaking view, pack your bags and put on your trekking shoes for the descent. You will walk downhill toward the Machhapuchhre base camp. Slowly decreasing altitude crossing Deurali, Himalaya, Dovan, Bamboo and finally, you will reach Sinuwa for the overnight stay. You will return by the same trail as before as there is only one trail towards Annapurna Base camp. Within 5-6 hours, you will reach Upper Sinuwa where you will stay overnight.
Trek to Jhinu Hot Spring.
At. 08:00 AM: Today you will walk for just 3-4 hours. Jhinu is known for its natural hot spring where you can visit and relax. Munch on your breakfast and proceed towards Jhinu Danda. To reach Jhinu one has to descend for 1 hour from Chhomrong. As you get closer to Chhomrong you will get to see paddy fields and other seasonal vegetable gardens giving you the true village vibe. You will walk through suspension bridges while listening to the sound of rivers. You can get souvenirs in Chhomrong as it is the biggest village.
You will get to see lots of domesticated animals such as horses and buffaloes grazing in the sun peacefully. Meet warm and hospitable locals on the way back. Enjoy the heavenly landscape and beautiful people as you make your way back to Chhomrong. Have lunch at one of the cafes. You can find local food as well as continental food there. Enjoy your lunch and make your way toward the relaxing spot Jhinu Hot Spring. After an hour of descent, you will finally reach Jhinu where you can relax and enjoy nature.
