Trip Overview

This 8-day Nepal Tour Package for Couples is more than just a vacation! It’s a romantic journey across three of Nepal’s most iconic cities. Whether you’re newly married, celebrating an anniversary, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway with your partner, this trip is curated with special places, beautiful stays, and experiences that are meant to bring you even closer.

You’ll begin your adventure in Kathmandu, which is a city where culture and religion go hand in hand. Here, you’ll explore all the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which include Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa together, all while soaking in the unique spiritual vibe this place offers. There’s also a romantic date walk planned through Kathmandu Durbar Square. The evenings are open for you to relax, go out for candlelight dinners, or explore cozy cafes.

From Kathmandu, you’ll take a day to visit Bhaktapur, where you can wander through pottery squares, try your hand at making your own clay pot, and enjoy authentic Newari cuisine. You’ll stop by Changunarayan Temple before heading to Nagarkot, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful overnight stay and also a beautiful sunrise the next morning.

After Nagarkot, it’s time to fly to Pokhara. This is a go-to city for couples in Nepal. Here, you’ll enjoy scenic boat rides, stunning mountain views, and visits to sites like Devi’s Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Pumdikot Shiva Statue, and the World Peace Pagoda.

You’ll even stay overnight in Sarangkot, where you’ll wake up to magical mountain views with your favorite person by your side. For couples who love thrills, optional adventures like paragliding, ultralight flights, or ziplining are available.

On your return to Kathmandu, we’ve kept things light. You’ll walk around the Garden of Dreams and have time to shop for souvenirs or just relax together before we end the tour with a farewell. And if you’re interested, we can also arrange romantic dinner or lunch setups at your request.

This trip isn’t packed with rushed sightseeing. Instead, it gives you the right mix of comfort, experiences, and freedom. You get to experience Nepal not just through temples and landscapes, but through the quiet joy of discovering new places together. That’s what this tour is all about. We help make your memories that last a lifetime.

Romantic Cities to Explore

On this Nepal tour, you’ll explore Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Pokhara. And the specialty of these three cities is that they offer you a mixture of cultural heritage excursions and peaceful landscapes, making a couple’s journey fun and romantic!

You’ll start your journey in the lively streets of Kathmandu, where temples, rooftop cafes, and vibrant markets await the two of you! Then comes Bhaktapur, the ancient city where you’ll walk hand in hand in the old alleys. And the best of the three is Pokhara, which brings lakeside magic and Himalayan views.

Well, each city has its own romantic mood, and that’s what makes this Nepal tour so unforgettable for couples. Let’s dive into the details to learn more about these places.

Kathmandu For Rich Culture and Vibrant Energy

If we look back at the history of our bookings, the majority of our guests have mostly been couples. And seriously, they love visiting Kathmandu city for its unique blend of ancient traditions and the vibrant streets. It’s a place where you can hold your hands and explore the city as if you’ve been living here for life.

You’ll spend four out of eight days of your Nepal trip soaking in the capital city. From wandering through ancient durbar squares to visiting sacred temples, the sightseeing here will fill your cravings for what you’ve seen on social media.

Basically, this trip’s journey begins in Kathmandu, and the two of you will explore the iconic Durbar Square, watch the views from Swayambhunath, share romantic moments at Boudhanath Stupa, and learn about Hindu rituals at Pashupatinath.

Heritage Walking in Bhaktapur

For couples, Bhaktapur is a city that offers a perfect blend of romance and history. It’s within the Kathmandu Valley and is the smallest district here.

Walking through its narrow alleys hand-in-hand, you’ll discover sacred temples, four different squares (Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatraya Square, and Pottery Square), and architecture that takes you back to the time of Malla kings.

When here, don’t forget to taste the famous Juju Dhau together. It’s a sweet delight that adds to your romantic trip in Nepal!

Pokhara For a Romantic Getaway

There’s always one place in every country that feels like a dreamy escape for couples. And that place here in Nepal is the Pokhara city!

Among the nine serene lakes here, Phewa Lake in particular is the highlight. Moreover, the stunning mountain views and adventure activities add to the charm of your romantic escape in the tourist capital of Nepal.

You could either sit in a rowboat together or go for tandem kayaking in Phewa Lake. And while sipping a tea/coffee in Sarangkot, you’ll watch the beautiful sunrise over the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna range.

Unforgettable Romantic Experiences

This 8-day Nepal trip isn’t just about the places you visit together. It’s more about the experiences you get along the way.

From waking up to Himalayan views in Nagarkot to sharing a peaceful sunrise at Sarangkot, our package from Altitude Himalaya brings experiences that you and your partner will always remember in your life!

Whether it’s a quiet walk in a dreamy garden or joining in on thrilling adventures together, every moment is made to feel special. Allow us to explain more.

Overnight Stay in Scenic Nagarkot

What could be more romantic than watching the golden sunset turn into a glowing sunrise over the Himalayas? Nagarkot gives you just that!

Sitting right above the Kathmandu Valley, an overnight stay in Nagarkot for couples lets you and your partner soak in the views and enjoy the utmost privacy. It’s simple. It’s quiet. It’s really the kind of romantic escape you’ll remember forever!

Magical Mountain Views From Sarangkot

Sarangkot is one of the best spots to get glimpses of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, and the surrounding mountain range. But along with mountains, it’s also about that shared silence you two will experience, which is exactly the kind of peace couples crave!

It’s located 10 km northwest of Pokhara city, and in this package, we have arranged a special overnight stay. This means you’ll get to experience both the sunset and sunrise from one of the best hillpoints in the Kaski district.

Optional Adventure Activities to Share Together

For couples who love a little thrill, Pokhara offers plenty of adrenaline-wrenching adventure activities. We have included a kayaking and boat activity in this package, but other activities depend on your interest.

If you’re both up for it, you can choose paragliding side by side, try ziplining, ultralight flight, bungee (tandem is also available), and more options to choose from. Keep in mind that these activities aren’t just adventurous. They’re a fun way to share something exciting together and make your time in Nepal feel even more special.

Relaxing Stroll Through the Garden of Dreams

Located right next to Thamel, the Garden of Dreams is the perfect romantic location for couples in Kathmandu. It’s a beautiful neoclassical garden with fountains, pavilions, cozy benches, and, of course, the big garden that’s surrounded by greenery.

It was built by Kaiser Sumsher Rana after being inspired by the gardens he encountered during his European tour. And even until today, the garden serves as the best destination for lovebirds, both locals and tourists.

In this package, we have included Garden Dreams after you return to Kathmandu. Even though it’s within the city, it feels like you’ve come far. You feel like simply sitting, chatting, and enjoying each other’s company.

Add-on Options: Private Romantic Dinners and Lunch Setups

This package mostly includes breakfast only. That’s because we want to give you full freedom to explore lunch and dinner on your own time and in privacy. But if you need help, we’ll gladly suggest some of the most romantic restaurants/cafes in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

And if you’d like something even more special, we can arrange private lunch and candlelight dinner setups through our connected hotels and restaurants. These setups add a beautiful touch to your Nepal trip. Just note that it comes at a slightly elevated price, which we’ll happily discuss with you over WhatsApp.

Cultural and Spiritual Highlights

This 8-day tour isn’t just for adventure and sightseeing. It’s also about discovering the spiritual places of Nepal together. For couples, the sacred places we have included here offer the kind of peaceful, meaningful connection that stays with you long after the trip ends.

Whether you’re walking around, praying for your bond to stay strong, or just watching the pilgrims perform rituals, these cultural and spiritual highlights are perfect moments on this Nepal trip.

Pashupatinath Temple to Experience Sacred Rituals!

It’s believed that when couples visit Pashupatinath Temple together, their bond is strengthened, all thanks to the divine blessings from Lord Shiva himself. Besides that, you even get to witness deep spiritual energy, ancient rituals, and the rhythm of faith among Hindus from all across the globe.

As a couple, go for a walk through the temple complex hand-in-hand, light diyos together (while it might not be possible inside the main temple, you can do it anywhere in the complex), and pray for your safe Nepal trip.

Right in front of the main temple, you’ll see sacred ghats lined up, all set for the cremation of the lost souls. You’ll watch people mourn on one side and watch people’s deep devotion towards Mahadev on the other. Truly, the two of you are going to be amazed seeing this part of Nepal!

Boudhanath Stupa: The heart of Tibetan Buddhism

Long known for its deep-rooted spirituality, Boudhanath Stupa is more than just a pilgrimage site. For couples, it’s going to be a spiritual therapy after experiencing the peace here.

Even among locals, this place has become a favorite hangout, which increases the crowd no matter the time you go. Despite that, the two of you will still find yourselves in peace.

But don’t just stand there holding hands. Walk the kora, spin the prayer wheels, and silently pray to Buddha for your relationship to last an eternity!

Don’t forget to try out Tibetan food together from the street vendors, and make sure to click tons of pictures with the Boudhanath Stupa in the background.

Swayambhunath Stupa for Stunning Views of Kathmandu

Swayambhunath Stupa is one of the oldest spiritual landmarks in Kathmandu and is placed right on top of one of the hilltops here. Visiting here means you and your partner will climb the long stairway together, take in the silence together, and reach the golden Mahachaitya to pray for your long-lasting relationship together!

Once you’re up there, the view is as beautiful as you two are. You’ll see the entire Kathmandu valley, and if the sky’s clear, the snow-capped Himalayas will surely melt your heart.

And did you know that this site is also known as the Monkey Temple? Guess why? Well, because of the playful monkeys you meet along the way! You’ll learn more about this heritage site from the assigned professional guide.

Walk Through the Royal History of Kathmandu Durbar Square

In the evening in Kathmandu, you will walk together through the vibrant streets of Basantapur Durbar Kshetra. This happens to be one of the most lively and culturally rich areas in all of the city.

You’ll also get inside the Hanuman Dhoka Museum to learn about Nepal’s royal history, the lives of the past kings of Nepal, traditional arts, and more! It’s going to be a historical retreat that gives you an insight into the entirety of Nepal.

As per our initial plan, the two of you will spend your evening time here in Kathmandu Durbar Square, exploring local shops that line the alleys. If you’re interested, make sure to try street food and do local shopping.

Watch Heritage and Artistry at Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the three durbar squares in Kathmandu Valley, where art, devotion, and architecture come alive. For couples, it’s best to walk while holding hands on all four squares.

Start with Durbar Square by visiting ancient palaces, golden gates, and courtyards with fine woodwork. Then, proceed towards Taumadhi Square, which is home to the majestic Nyatapola Temple

Next, wander in Dattatreya Square, which is filled with centuries-old temples and shops where you can stop by. Not just that. Even intricate statues are architectural masterpieces!

In the end, make sure to pay a visit to Pottery Square. It’s ladies’ favorite, and even men can try it out for sure. Roll up your sleeves and try making your own clay pot! It’s fun, creative, and something meaningful to take back as a souvenir from Bhaktapur.

Visit Nepal’s Oldest Changunarayan Temple

Believed to be the oldest temple in Nepal, Changunarayan Temple is a gem that many travelers miss out on. But with Altitude Himalaya, we make sure that you will stop by this UNESCO World Heritage Site as we’re on the way to Nagarkot.

Since the temple sits quietly on a hilltop, couples love it! Just like other visits, you’ll walk hand in hand in the temple complex. The highlight here is the centuries-old stone carvings and inscriptions.

The two of you can sit together under the shade of old trees here, pray to Lord Vishnu (the main deity worshipped here), and make memories that you’ve come for.

Discover Devi’s Falls Infamous Story

Moving on to Pokhara, your first stop here is the iconic Devi’s Falls. It’s a place that has a dark history connected with it.

A Swiss couple was enjoying their time swimming near the water when the overflow swept away the woman. Her body was later recovered, and the site was named after her tragic story. The husband was truly heartbroken!

Since then, swimming has been completely banned. In fact, you only get to watch the ferocious waterfall that grows strong in the monsoon season. There are bars to protect you from even accidents.

Also, the heartbreaking story is a reminder for every couple coming to the Devi’s Falls to stay cautious. Just take in the beauty together and take snaps from afar.

Opposite to the Waterfall: Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave

Just across the road from Devi’s Falls, you’ll find the entrance to the sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. As you walk deeper down the stone steps, you’ll reach the Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple. As the name suggests, it’s dedicated to Lord Shiva, so expect to find many devotees here.

Go even further below, and you’ll reach a viewing point where you can actually see Devi’s Falls from the other side. Watching the waterfall rush through the cave from this angle feels completely surreal. And as couples, you can take a moment and admire the raw beauty of nature together!

Explore Recently Built Pumdikot Shiva Statue

Another Hindu spiritual site you’ll explore in Pokhara is the Pumdikot Shiva Statue. It’s a recently built pilgrimage spot (in 2021) dedicated to Lord Shiva. It’s located in the southwest direction of Pokhara, sitting beautifully atop a hill at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters.

Climbing up to this height doesn’t just bring spiritual calm but also rewards you with sweeping mountain views of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri.

For couples, this is a place that doesn’t just give you the blessings of Lord Shiva but also a spot where you can together enjoy the romantic mountain backdrop. Don’t forget to take pictures!

World Peace Pagoda With Hiking

Before you return to Pokhara Lakeside, there’s one more peaceful stop waiting for you! It’s the World Peace Pagoda located on top of another hill (close to Pumdikot).

Overlooking the city, this white stupa is perfect for couples looking to experience calm, reflection, and a quiet moment together. You can take part in a short meditation activity or simply enjoy the panoramic views of Pokhara city from here.

What makes it even more special is the journey down. Instead of taking the regular road, you’ll follow a scenic downhill trail with your guide, which is through the lush forests. Not truly an adventure, but still a hike to remember as you’re doing it in Nepal!
